LAINEY- Needs a forever home! Pointer & Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler Mix Birmingham, MI

Lainey is a 4 year old Pointer/Heeler mix who we rescued along with her children Bodhi (adopted), Dax, Abbie (adopted), Bosco and Denali prior to them being euthanized at a high kill shelter. She weighs approx 58#. She is a medium energy dog, the perfect combination from cuddling on the couch or a stroll around the neighborhood. Lainey would make a great companion dog without a lot of people coming and going. She can be apprehensive and nervous at first when meeting new people, but once she knows you are a friend, warms up quickly and will melt your heart with affection. She has the cutest antics, like hopping with joy when she knows she is getting a milk bone. She lives with two male dogs and appears to enjoy their company. She would do well with other dogs or would be fine as the only dog. She plays independently very well. May be ok with cats after a slow introduction. Children 10 years old or older. Lainey's forever home is required to have a totally enclosed physically fenced yard where she can run, play and hang out with his people. She is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations as well as house and crate trained. Lainey is dreaming for a family with patience and love who will show her how great it is being a part of a family is all about.

All dogs we rescue stay with us until they find their forever homes. We do not do same day adoptions. A home visit is required to ensure our dog is going to a safe environment and our dog gets along with your dog(s) and/or cat(s). We require all our dogs over the age of 1 year attend 1 obedience class (6 week session) outside the home. You must live within 1 hour of Birmingham, MI to adopt one of our dogs. No out of state or outside the U.S. adoptions or fosters. Lainey's adoption fee is $300.
