Ladybug's Story

HOMEOWNERSHIP REQUIRED!

Meet the lovely Ladybug! She is the perfect-sized (smaller-medium) dog with a giant heart! She has all the best traits: mellow (but, loves a good walk/hike- and still good with just an easy stroll), potty trained, gentle, cuddly, and silly. She is crate trained (with some encouragement), but would rather be free in the house (and has had no issues so far). She is a quiet girl, with only a playful woof or adorable grumbling sound occasionally (we think she is trying to talk!).

She was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Texas and is loving life in Colorado. She is showing how much she appreciates living in a home. She loves to be near and follow her people all around the house.

She is the poster-dog for the downward dog pose in yoga (as you can see in one of her photos)... she loves this stretch and she is so cute when she does it!

She is good with kids and dogs. She is gentle with children and enjoys pets from them. Currently, she is in a foster home with no other animals, but has lived with a dog and gets along with other dogs. She would probably be good with cats, but she hasn't been tested. Her previous dog-mate was smaller than a cat! She isn't aggressive toward smaller critters. She likes to watch the prairie dogs through the back fence, but that's all her interest is. She also likes to say “hi” to a bunny that has made a burrow in the backyard- and this might include a playful gallop-chase.

She likes to show she is happy with intense tail-wagging with a wiggle-butt. She craves cuddling and being close to her people on the couch. At night, she sleeps on her own bed or chair in the bedroom (but she has slept in her previous foster's bed or a crate at night, too).

*Don't let the “special needs” label deter you- she has already received heartworm treatment and just needs a final check-up in several months. She shows no differences from any other dog and has no activity restrictions.*

Ladybug is ready to share her love and find her forever home!

Adoption fee includes the following:

Spay/Neuter
Rabies Vaccination
Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies)
Bordetella
Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration
Deworming
