She’s crate trained, potty trained, and a total pro at living politely in a home. Kids? Loves them. Dogs? Did great with mine. Cats? Might as well be decorative pillows. She simply does not care.<br/><br/>Lacey’s story could have ended very differently. She was thrown out of a car in a known dog-dumping area in the Dallas, TX region, suffering a severe injury to her ear. Thanks to a quick-thinking good Samaritan who called animal control, she was picked up immediately and rushed to a vet. With proper care and kindness, her ear has completely healed. Even more remarkable? Lacey never lost her love for people. Despite the cruelty she experienced, she still greets humans with tail wags and open-hearted optimism.<br/><br/>Despite everything she’s been through, Lacey wakes up every day choosing happiness. She doesn’t believe in strangers. Only future friends. Every person she meets is welcomed like they’ve been expected all along. That kind of spirit is rare.<br/><br/>She’s on the quieter side and hardly barks, but when the zoomies hit… buckle up. We’re talking hall-of-fame zoomies. Olympic-level. Blink-and-you-miss-it comedy gold. She is hilarious without even trying.<br/><br/>Lacey can still be a little timid and hand shy, which is completely understandable given her past, but she gets better every single day with patience and gentle reassurance.
