Kristal's Story
Kristal has that typical gentle, loving and sweet cavalier personality that everyone adores! In the few weeks she's been in her foster home she's only had two accidents in the house. So in other words, this girl practically has house training mastered! It took a good week for her to build up some confidence to leave her human's side when outside, but now she enjoys using her nose and roaming the fenced in backyard on her own.

While Kristal does enjoy following her people around, she also enjoys her alone time in the kennel where she can quietly rest in a safe, comfortable spot. But if you were to invite her onto the couch next to you, she won't turn down the opportunity for snuggles. Unlike most breeder releases, Kristal hasn't appeared to be fearful of loud noises, quick movements or the hustle and bustle of a busy household with kids. So it's believed the she could be a great dog for a variety of lifestyles and/or families!

When this sweet girl initially became part of Fetch, she had a large bald spot on one of her back legs. The vet believes it was from a bite that caused a staph infection, which resulted in the hair loss and excessive grooming/itchiness of that area. A slow release Antibiotic injection was given as well as a chlorhexidine spray to help the area heal, which she's been great about. She is also currently on 30 days of ear medication to treat yeast infection in both of her ears. In addition to these few medical things, Kristal has had red front paws like she's been over grooming or licking her paws too much. The veterinarian suspects possible allergies so Kristal needs a family that will be open to the possibility of her having allergies in her lifetime. While she's been in her foster home, she hasn't been caught licking her feet much, but this is just something to watch for as it could become a future challenge.

You can apply for this pup at: https://www.fetchfosterandrescue.com/adopt

Name: Kristal

D.O.B: 06/04/2021

Breed: Cavalier King Charles

Sex: Female

Weight: 15.2 lbs

Altered: Yes

Adoption Fee: 400

Good with kids: Yes, I've been great with the kids in my foster home.

Good with dogs: Yes, I enjoy dog friends!

Good with cats: I've done well with the cats in my current home.

Special Requirements: None.

*Positive reinforcement obedience training is a great way to bond with your new family member.
