Koya's Story

**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas**

Meet Koya!
In Filipino, Koya means "older brother," which is the perfect name for this older pup. He was found alone with his sister after their mother went missing. We can't say what happened to their mother, and we can't say what they went through when left alone - but we can say that Koya is the best brother to his sister, Kita.

Within just a few days, Koya has made great progress in his behavior and trust toward humans. At first, he was terrified to walk, but now he walks on a leash and runs around with his sister. He might be reserved at first, but with some patience and care, he'll warm up to you and start asking for pets by pawing you with his paw. He might even play a little game of the "zoomies" with you once he's comfortable.

Koya also loves to play with toys, especially stuffies. He loves to run around with his sister, but he is also very dog social and will happily play with all dogs.

It might take a little time for Koya to fully come out of his shell, but when he does, he's truly a sweetheart who loves to give kisses. This pup has had a tough start in life, but he's now ready for a fresh beginning.

Are you ready to join him?

***
Please apply to foster or adopt online at www.corridorrescue.org

Direct inquiries to: adopt@corridorrescue.org

The adoption fee of has been sponsored by a generous donor and covers spay/neuter, microchip and current vaccines.

Transport is available and can be discussed on an individual basis.

Thank you for considering a rescued former street dog for your next family member!
