Kova's Story
Meet Kova!

If you're looking for a dog who checks basically every box, allow us to introduce you to Kova! This gorgeous 55-pound, 1 /12-year-old German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix is the whole package—beautiful, smart, sweet, and wonderfully well-mannered. She plays great with other dogs, loves her toys without being possessive, takes treats gently, and is wonderful with children. She knows sit and lay down, is potty trained, and is eager to learn. She's a quick learner and trusts her people quickly, too!

Kova is happy doing just about anything with you. Want to go for a walk? She's in. Want to play? Absolutely. Want to curl up on the couch and give her belly rubs? Even better. She doesn't bark much, although she may have a little FOMO protest when she's crated and realizes everyone else is having fun without her. Give her 10-15 minutes and she settles right down. She's still learning that walks are for calmly enjoying the scenery—especially when she spots another dog friend or a squirrel! She can pull a little when she gets excited, but with how smart and eager-to-please she is, we know she'll pick up leash manners quickly with some consistent training.

Honestly, we can't say enough good things about this girl. Kova is one of those special dogs who makes you wonder how she hasn't been scooped up already. She's gentle, affectionate, smart, and just an all-around wonderful companion. We know shes going to make someone an incredible best friend—and she is oh-so-deserving of that forever family.

---
To apply to adopt, please follow the steps for adoption on HalfwayThereRescue.com/Adoption-Process and apply directly here: https://fs26.formsite.com/htrnp/a2k3lsooud/index.html
