Kota's Story

Meet Kota! This approximately 6 yr old boy has not had a great life. He spent the majority of it chained up outside after being abandoned on someone's property in Mason County. But he is resilient: he showed up to his foster home ready to snuggle, play fetch, and be a beloved family member.

Kota is slowly gaining some much needed weight. After the years of eating poorly his stomach is a bit sensitive but is doing great with consistent nutritious food and probiotics. His teeth were in bad shape but we got them cleaned (and had the bad ones removed) so he is much more comfortable now. He also some stiff joints but is on supplements and over time with regular exercise he should feel great.

He has most likely been in a lot of pain over the last few years. Yet he loves people, loves toys, and going for walks. He is a happy, sweet and special boy. And bonus? His markings are a mix of brindle and merle, so frickin’ cool.

He is dog, cat and kid friendly, leash trained, and house trained. He doesn’t even seem interested in chasing the neighborhood bunnies!! We are looking for an adopter that will continue his healthy diet and supplements long term, that understands he will need to have regular vet visits to keep an eye on his teeth, gut and joints, and that is ready to buy lots of dog toys for him to carry around!!

Kota has been neutered, vaccinated, chipped. His adoption fee is $395

We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495. Thank you for stepping up to save a life!

To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
