HUGE CUDDLE BUG ALERT!!! <br/><br/>Meet Koda (fka Fortune). This handsome boy is about 4 years old. We believe him to be an Aussie/Great Pyr mix and he is looking for a family who loves walks, playtime, and cuddling as much as he does! He is a big teddy bear when it comes to getting lovins. Ear rubbings are his absolute favorite. (Oh, and lying down beside you, or better yet, ON you, to get those ears rubbed.) <br/><br/>Next to cuddles, his second most favorite thing is playing. He loves to play! He loves other dogs and would love to have a friendly, playful doggy brother or sister to play with. His bestest friend ever is Cammie. She's another foster dog looking for her furever home. They love to wrestle and chase each other around the yard, and play in the water together. (Wouldn't it be wonderful if they could get adopted together?!? What a perfect ready-made family. :) ) Koda is good with older children but because of his large size, younger children are not recommended. (He is not the biggest fan of cats though, so no cats in his fever home.)<br/><br/> <br/><br/>Koda is very smart and knows his basic commands, especially when there is a treat involved lol. He will use a classic “Pyr Paw” to get your attention, and then stuff his face into your lap for the good ear scratches. He loves car rides and does well while in the car. Koda is big and doesn't always know his own size, and can have an occasional klutzy moment. (He's knocked a couple of things off the bookshelf at his foster mom's house. lol)<br/><br/>He enjoys watching the yard out the window, running free in a large fenced area (he can move pretty well for a big boy), and sniffing everything on long walks. Koda does have a guardian dog's instincts and will bark if he considers something to be a threat to his flock. This is true for loud trucks, motorcycles, and diesel engines and those ever so dangerous squirrels in the trees above. Koda needs a confident owner who he can look up to, rather than protect. This will allow him to be redirected from his “guarding” behaviors.<br/><br/> <br/><br/>True to a Pyr's nature, he wants to explore (he was originally found as a stray) and will chase cars if given the opportunity - so a solid fence surrounding plenty of running space is a must! (No electronic fences for this boy.) And for his safety, he must be leashed at all times if outside an enclosed area. <br/><br/>Koda is UTD on his vaccines, neutered, microchipped, and on HW and flea prevention and weighs about 80# (A lot of that is fur! And he could stand to lose a few pounds.)
