Meet Koda <br/><br/>Before Koda can find his forever family, he has some healing to do.<br/><br/>Koda is a Standard Poodle who came to us after being rescued through a cruelty seizure by a Houston-area shelter. He was removed from a situation where he was clearly not receiving adequate care, but despite his difficult start, Kodas spirit remains unbroken.<br/><br/>You may notice that Kodas coat is currently pretty short. When he was rescued, his coat was severely matted and had to be shaved down for his comfort and care. As he continues to recover and receive the love and attention he deserves, his beautiful coat is already beginning to grow back.<br/><br/>Despite everything hes been through, Koda is one of the sweetest dogs youll ever meet. He is affectionate, eager to please, and happiest when hes close to his people. He wants nothing more than to be loved and to return that love tenfold.<br/><br/>Koda is smart, brave, and incredibly resilient. Every day he shows us just how strong he is. He is currently working on gaining weight, rebuilding his strength, and learning what it means to be safe, cared for, and cherished.<br/><br/>More than anything, Koda is a survivor. He continues to greet the world with kindness, trust, and hope. Watching him embrace his second chance has been nothing short of inspiring.<br/><br/>While Koda isnt quite ready to head to his forever home, we know there will be a family out there who sees what we seea survivor with a heart of gold and so much love left to give.<br/><br/>Because we expect interest in this special boy, we are officially opening applications now.
