Koda's Story

LOCATION: DURANT, OK
ADOPTABLE ANYWHERE IN THE USA

Meet Koda!

Koda is a playful, affectionate young hound who's ready to find people of his own. He does well on a leash, loves to fetch and will bring the ball or toy right back to you, and he's completely potty trained. He's not bothered by cats- doesn't bark, doesn't seem interested one way or the other. He's working on basic commands though it's slow going with his sister around as a distraction- he'll likely pick it up fast once he's got someone's full attention.

Koda's a people-oriented guy. He clearly bonds with his person- he gets excited to see familiar faces and he's the kind of dog who wants to be included, not just fed and let out. He's been doing well his mountain of toys and is pretty trustworthy for a young pup with this much energy.

He's got plenty of it too- he's active and will do best with room to run and time to burn it off. This happy guy is ready for a family who can give him real companionship and opportunities to play and have fun!

helplesshounds.com/foster
helplesshounds.com/adopt

Helpless Hounds Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy
For a complete list of our adoption criteria, please visit: https://www.helplesshounds.com/faqs NOTE: You must complete and submit an application and be approved to adopt prior to being able to meet the dog. We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always try to select the right applicant for each dog, based on the dog’s needs and try to find the best match for both dog and human. We leave a dog’s profile online until either it has been adopted, or has received several applications. We are a non-profit organization that spends our adoption fees and donations on vaccinations, surgeries, various medical tests, medicines, food and supplies needed by our dogs. Our fees do not cover the overall expenses incurred by the care of our dogs, but they do help defray the costs involved. We thank you for your support.
