Kobe's Story
Kobe
Age: 2 Years
Breed: Australian Shepherd Mix
Sex: Male
Energy Level: Medium

Personality & Story
Kobe is a beautiful 2-year-old Australian Shepherd mix with a heart as big as his bright, expressive eyes. Though he was shy at first, it didn’t take long for his affectionate and loving personality to shine through. By his third night in foster care, he was already curled up tummy-up in his foster’s lap, fully embracing the cuddly life. He has quickly settled in and become a deeply connected, people-oriented companion. Kobe thrives on affection, routine, and close connection with his humans. He loves being involved in daily life and is happiest when he is near his person.

Training & Home Life:
Kobe is very intelligent and highly trainable, with a strong eagerness to please. He has had no bathroom accidents in foster care, even when left loose in the home during the workday, which is a huge accomplishment. He is generally good on leash, though he may lightly pull toward interesting smells or trees, but responds well to verbal direction and corrects quickly. He can sometimes be startled by barking dogs on walks, but he recovers well and continues on calmly.

Kobe knows several commands including Sit, Lie Down, Shake, and Kiss, and he picks up new cues quickly. He is a smart, responsive dog who thrives with consistency, engagement, and gentle guidance.
A funny quirk: Kobe sometimes picks up his food bowl and tips it before eating. A heavier or non-slip bowl may help with this habit.

Good With:
Men & Women: Yes
Home Type: Best suited to a calm, single or couple household

What Kobe Needs in a Forever Home
Kobe is looking for a loving, committed home where he can build a strong bond with his person or couple. He thrives in a calm environment where he can receive consistent attention, affection, and structure. He would do best in a home that is present, engaged, and able to provide companionship, routine, and mental stimulation. Kobe forms deep attachments and is happiest when he is included in daily life and close to his humans.

Why You’ll Love Kobe:
Kobe is an affectionate, loyal, and intelligent companion who bonds deeply and loves with his whole heart. He’s the kind of dog who will greet you every morning with joy, stay close by your side throughout the day, and make home feel warm, comforting, and complete.

Fostered in Sarnia, ON
