Meet Knuckles! <br/><br/>Knuckles, or "Knucks" as the staff call him, is a 1.5-year-old Mastiff mix with big feelings, big strength, and a BIG personality. He's had a rough start after being abandoned outside ACS, and learning to trust people again has taken some time. Thankfully, our staff have been patient with him, and Knucks has been working hard to learn that people can be trusted and that good things can stick around.<br/><br/>Knucks is a passionate young guy who knows exactly what he loves: TUG. Seriously, tug is his love language. Give him a good toy, a strong grip, and someone ready to play, and you've got one very happy Knucks. He's currently working with a trainer to help channel his intensity and continues to make progress every day.<br/><br/>Knucks has also done really well meeting strangers out in public, where he's shown that he can handle new people much better than you might expect from his shelter behavior. There's a lot of personality packed into this big guy, and we're excited to see what he can become with the right person continuing to help him along the way. <br/><br/>Adopter's Need to Knows:<br/><br/>Dogs: Dog-friendly, but still learning how to appropriately play. His intensity can sometimes make him selective about his dog friends.<br/>Cats: Has not been tested; a home without cats is recommended<br/>Kids: Has an age restriction<br/>Strangers: Has done very well meeting strangers in public<br/>Shelter behavior: Can show barrier reactivity while in the shelter<br/>Training: Has worked with a trainer and knows moderate commands.
