Knuckles's Story

Sup it's Knuckles. I am a three year old Australian shepherd and Catahoula mix. I came to the shelter as a stray because I couldn't find my way back home. Please don't let my vision imparied scare you because I have way more to offer you. I might not be able to see things so this shelter life is pretty scary place to be. I just need a home so I can feel more safe on were I am going. I don't do well with other dogs so a home without them would be preferred. I am such a lover boy. I love the snuggles and being next to my humans. It also makes me feel safer when I am around my human friends. Can you be my next safe home?

Prairie Paws Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

Our animals change daily, so please check our lists of adoptable dogs and adoptable cats frequently. All PPAS pets are spayed/neutered, up to date on routine vaccines (including rabies if age appropriate), and will be microchipped and registered in the adopter's name at the time of adoption. Adopters get a free consultation at an area vet partner within 14 days of adoption. Any dog that is six months of age or older will be tested for Heartworms and if found negative, will be kept on Heartworm prevention during their shelter stay, after the adoption it is up to the adopter to continue the highly recommended Heartworm preventative treatment. Also all PPAS shelter dogs are treated with a monthly topical flea/tick preventative and we ask that adopters continue that treatment as well. If you are interested in this pet, please contact us!
