Knox's Story

REQUIREMENTS: Must have a secure fenced yard. No other dogs. Applications will be reviewed for Windsor, Sarnia and Chatham Kent areas.

Adoption application is on our webpage - click on Adopt at top of the page - DO NOT COMPLETE ON PETFINDER - www.ckanimalrescue.com

YEAR OF BIRTH: 2015

Knox is a wonderful companion with a heart full of love. His favourite place is right by his person's side, and he'll happily follow his foster mom from room to room just to be close. While he enjoys playing with toys, he's more of a "short bursts of fun" kind of guy before he's ready to relax again.

This handsome boy has excellent manners around the house. He isn't a big barker, doesn't jump on people, and knows to "back up" and "wait" at the door. At bedtime, simply tell him it's time for bed, and he'll head straight to his own bed for the night.

Knox loves going for walks and has great leash manners, making him an enjoyable walking partner. He's also a fantastic passenger in the car—once he's buckled in, he settles down and quietly enjoys the ride.

One of Knox's favourite pastimes is soaking up the sunshine. You'll often find him happily lounging outdoors, moving between sunny and shady spots as he relaxes. When he's inside, nothing makes him happier than belly rubs and gentle face scratches.

Knox is a smart boy who already knows several commands, including sit, stay, come, leave it, lay down, and get in the house. He's also great at letting you know when he needs to go outside by barking to ask for a bathroom break.

Knox would do best as the only pet in the home. He absolutely loves children, but he does not get along well with other dogs and is not suitable for a home with cats.

When left home alone, Knox should be crated, as he can get himself into mischief if given free roam. He's comfortable relaxing in his crate for 2-3 hours at a time.

Knox is a healthy, happy boy with no joint concerns. He previously struggled with allergies, but since entering foster care, he's been doing wonderfully on a limited-ingredient diet and has had no further issues. He eats twice a day and is thriving.

If you're looking for a loyal best friend who loves walks, car rides, sunny afternoons, and endless belly rubs, Knox could be the perfect addition to your family.

Please fill out an adoption application on our website if you are interested in giving Knox a wonderful furever home. www.ckanimalrescue.com

Adoption Fee - $500

CK Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
Adopting a rescued dog can be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life! These dogs seem to know they have been given a second chance to live long, happy lives with families who will cherish them forever. Our volunteers work very hard to ensure our rescues are given that opportunity....to find their own forever families who will give them their own Happy Tail! Don't buy puppies at pet stores while shelter animals die. They want to give love and be loved too. Spay & Neutering DOES save lives. And check out our cats and kittens who are waiting for forever homes too! Please visit our website at www.ckanimalrescue.com - see our beautiful adoptable dogs and other animals available. We appreciate your support.
