Knoll

Knoll was found on the streets of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. She was then brought to the Queens Animal Care and Control. The NYCACC is the NYC municipal animal shelter.<br/><br/>There she was just one face amongst so many. She was fearful and frightened as to be expected.<br/><br/>Her time was coming to an end and a wonderful woman stepped up to save her life.<br/><br/>She has been thriving in foster care and is now ready for her forever home.<br/><br/>These are Knoll's STATS:<br/><br/>Approximate age: 1.5-3 years old <br/>Approximate weight: 53 lbs <br/>Breed(s): Mixed Breed<br/> <br/>Spayed or neutered? Spayed<br/><br/>Good with:<br/>Kids? Yes, she has shown no signs of aggression, took treats from kids hands before, let them pet her<br/>Strangers? She has been friendly with strangers when approached calmly, she will take pets and treats from them. She has warmed up to our friends very quickly/well.<br/>Other dogs? Yes, very friendly with any and all dogs big and small, wants to say hi to all dogs<br/>Cats? Havent interacted with many cats, seems curious about them<br/>On leash? Good on leash, a bit of zig zagging and pulling but improving. She is not bothered by the sounds of the city at all.<br/>Housetrained? Yes<br/>Crate trained? Sleeps overnight 7 hours and working on during the day currently up to 5 hours<br/><br/>The preferred forever home for Knoll would be full of love, patience, and kindness. Her family would give her lots of exercise and mental stimulation.<br/> <br/>Shes a velcro dog, so her ideal home is one where she can be with her family as much as possible.<br/><br/>Knoll seems to be a bit fearful of things above her head. If a stranger goes to pet her on top of her head, shell sometimes duck away. She is scared of ceiling fans being on, large flags and large items moving above her head.<br/><br/>When left alone in her crate, she will focus on a frozen enrichment toy for 30-45 minutes, and then she will start to whine in her crate. She eventually has been able to settle and sleep in the crate after the initial whining. She's now great in the crate.<br/><br/><br/>Knolls life almost ended before it truly began. After being abandoned and struggling in the shelter environment, this beautiful girl landed on the euthanasia list at Queens ACC. Once she entered foster care, everything changed.<br/>Now, Knoll spends her days playing with toys, learning new tricks, exploring the city, and cuddling with her foster parents. She's an estimated 1.5 - 3 year-old, 53-pound pittie mix with a huge personality and an even bigger heart.<br/><br/>Knoll is affectionate, silly, smart, and incredibly loyal. Shes housetrained, crate trained overnight, dog friendly, and eager to please. She can be shy with strangers at first, but with patience and treats, she blossoms into the sweetest companion. Shes also wonderfully adaptable to city and home life.<br/> <br/>Noises like vacuums, pots and pans, and everyday commotion dont faze her, and shes not overly barky.<br/><br/>Knoll is looking for a forever home where she can finally feel safe, loved, and included in everyday life.
