Kladea Labrador Retriever & Beagle Mix Joliet, IL

Kladea is a shy girl at first but once she warms up to you she is a very loving and playful pup. Only 10 months old, she’s still a puppy and is learning everyday. She already knows to go outside to use the bathroom, to hop up in the car when the door is open, and when its time for bed to go in her crate. Once she’s attached to you she’ll constantly want to be near you. She loves going for walks, but due to her shy personality she is a bit scared of new introductions from people or other dogs. Allow her to have a slow introduction to new people or other pets. She doesn’t seem to want to chase cats or have much interest in them, however a sudden appearance will startle her and make her on edge. Kladea needs more formal training and currently only partially knows how to sit. She’s very active outdoors and loves to play fetch with a ball and to chase you. She prefers having someone to play with otherwise she may get bored outside alone. If she’s had proper exercise she’s more mellow inside the home and sleeps near your feet as you work or whatever you may be doing.

Kladea’s adoption fee is $300 which includes her spay, microchip, fecal exam, and shots up to date. Our love bug weighs 32lbs.

All dogs require a $100 training deposit. Once confirmation of the completion of a training class has been sent to the rescue, you will receive your deposit back in full.

As we are a rescue all of our adult dogs/puppies for adoption must be spayed or neutered. Although we make every attempt to have this done before finding their adoptive families, this is not always possible. Please speak with your adoption coordinator to see of this service has already been performed or they will explain to you if your new dog/puppy will need this service while in your care at no cost to you.

When emailing please include your phone number to help speed up the adoption process. Also, for the safety of our dogs we only adopt within a 2 hour radius of Joliet, Illinois, to allow our volunteers to do home checks if necessary.
