Kitsu's Story

Located in Huntington Beach, CA

Kitsu is a handsome, loyal, and quiet male dog. He is a beautiful cream Shiba Inu with a sweet personality and a graceful, dignified, and athletic build. He is a delightful 11 year-old who is crate-trained, house-trained, microchipped, and up to date on all of his vaccines. He is also neutered.

Kitsu came from a breeding facility with 5 other Shibas from the home. We are unsure of what their lives may have been like before, but when we got him from the local animal shelter, he was covered in fleas, had severe flea dermatitis/hair loss, and at least 2 types of intestinal parasites. Since he’s been in our care, these health issues are all in the past.

If you are interested in welcoming Kitsu into your heart and home, please contact saving Shibas Inc at the provided email address, or visit the provided URL to fill out an adoption application. His adoption fee is $150, and all money goes to a wonderful cause.

The Shiba-Inu is a primitive breed, and a living national monument in their native Japan. They are not very affectionate dogs, but are extremely loyal to their family/owner. Similar to the Japanese Akita because of their appearance and fierce loyalty, Shiba-Inus are a great breed to adopt because they are small-sized dogs that are smart and loyal.

They are also known to be escape artists and door-bolters. Adopters who have previously owned or are accustomed to this breed will be considered.

If interested in adopting him, please contact saveshibas@gmail.com.
