I am 4 years old and weigh 17 pounds. I need a new home because I am a puppy mill survivor. I am being fostered in Kansas City, MO<br/><br/> I love my new life ... not being in a cage all the time, and I love doing zoomies around the yard. At first, I headed for the fence but I soon learned to come up to my foster mom and dad for pets and praise and just hanging out together.<br/>I am learning that I kinda like it with these humans in my home and it's kinda nice to sit next to them and be petted. I like couch time. Sometimes I just fall asleep and sometimes I key into the videos we're watching together.<br/><br/>I get along with the other dogs in my foster home, but I am not yet a playmate. They've tried, but I'm still figuring it all out. <br/><br/>I am okay with being crated if you have to leave for a bit, but I sure like exploring and being out and about with the family if given the option. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption.<br/><br/>MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced. MidAmerica Boston Terrier Rescue's Adoption Policy
There is no fee for submitting an application with us. We are not affiliated with any other organization so we do require our application to be submitted in order to be considered. We prefer applications be completed online, We DO adopt to families with fenced in yards or those that live in apartments/condos. MABTR offers a two-week trial period with each adoption to ensure your new dog is a good fit. You only need to complete one application per household, not per dog of interest. MABTR will do our best to help transport any adopted dog within the 13 states we serve. We do not adopt outside of our service area, no exceptions. It may take us up to four days to process your application as we review applications twice a week.
