Kit-I26032's Story

Meet Kit-I26032 a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, male, black tri with a more plush coat & a DOB of 6.2.19. He is neutered, vaccinated and has a microchip. His adoption fee is $350.00 plus MN State Sales tax.

Kit has a ton of self confidence. He is very loving and loves to have a job. He has learned some commands while in his foster home: come, sit, spin and roll over. He is very striking in his appearance which makes one take a 2nd look and you will smile because Kit is smiling.

If you are serious about this dog, please go to our website and fill out an application: https://faerielandrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application/.

We do not adopt our dogs to folks who live in apartments.

Foster mom is working on house & crate training. He walks well on leash and likes going for walks and car rides. He loves to play. Be prepared, as this Corgi has a ton of energy. Maybe he would be good doing Herding or agility. He is very treat motivated and seems to do just about anything for a treat. But then every Corgi would do anything for a treat or food! He does and can bark as Corgis do. We are not sure about small children under the age of 14. We are not sure about cats or other animals.

Kit will require a fenced, secure yard to play in. This is a way for him to burn off his energy. He can be an only dog and seems to be a bit on the alpha side. He can play with other dogs but we are not sure that all dogs would be a good fit. A meet and greet would need to be done before any adoption. Kit does have some resource guarding. Foster mom is working on this.

Over all a very nice Corgi that would love to have his own FUREVER home.

As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed and been approved.

We do not allow our dogs to be tied, tethered, chained or secured on a tie out for any of our dogs. We do not allow our rescue dogs to go into homes with an underground electronic fence system. We don't adopt our dogs to folks who plan to have the dogs living outside 24/7 the majority of time or living in a kennel type environment.

FaerieLand Rescue's Adoption Policy
FaerieLand process is the following: You can view our pets on Petfinder or the website. We require an application with a paid $25.00 application processing fee, with 2 personal & 1 vet reference along with a home visit prior to doing an adoption. Most of our dogs do better in a fenced area vs running loose. We match our rescues with current families according to current family members (IE: adults, children, teens), current pets(IE other dogs, other animals) and location, experience, level of activity, personality of the dog, temperament of the dog and want each dog to find their Furever home. Applying for a dog does not entitle you to adopt one of our dogs. German Shepherds & Welsh Corgis are herding dogs and need a job. They are not good dogs for apartments or small spaces. They require exercise every day. They require training and socialization to become a well rounded family member.
