She responds well to her name and typically sticks to my heals so she will do better with someone who is not gone 9-5.
She is good with my dog, they don’t really play but they sniff each other and hang out. She more follows him everywhere than plays but he is bigger than her by 20 lbs. Mostly they both relax together. I think they would play if they were both off leash outside but not doing that as we don’t have a fenced yard & worry Kirra may go for an unexpected run! Lol I see more herding anxiety/excitement rather than high energy. When I get home she barks out of excitement and it can take her a minute to settle. She does pull a bit on the leash and has some herding tendencies but she is part Aussie so that is expected. Sometimes she paces around the house as she likes to know where everyone is (again typical Aussie trait). She is also very food motivated so we feel she would be very trainable because of that. The breed definitely needs some activity which she is getting here so no issues.

3/23/25-Kirra continues to gain confidence in her surroundings. She is a very sweet dog who likes to be with her people. She is very food motivated and thus we feel that she will be a very trainable dog. Kirra likes to go on walks, eat food, explore the house, and cuddle on the couch at night. She has some toys that she plays with for a minute but isn't super captivated by them. we have not observed her chewing anything in the house outside of food, she is not mouthy at all. She will play fetch with us. Kirra is such a sweet, cute pup and we are excited for her to find her forever home so she can continue to gain confidence and flourish.

3/19/25-Kirra is a sweet, but still anxious dog and has regressed some from going back into foster care. She likes to cuddle on the couch. Whenever we return from a walk she immediately runs inside and jumps onto the couch and lays down. The couch is her safe spot in the house. Kirra has some herding tendencies, like circling on leash, but this is normal for a herding dog. She mostly walks great on a leash and doesn't pull. She is a really sweet dog and I think once she has time to settle into a place she will gain confidence and be a wonderful addition to an active family.

3/17/25-Kirra came to our house yesterday & is doing well. She is a sweet, adorable girl that is nervous right now. It takes a while for her to settle down, but once she does she is calm and cuddles with both my husband and me. She is also apprehensive of being touched or picked up but is improving. She is very cute and walks well on a leash & likes to go on walks. She is potty trained. She responds to her name being called immediately and knows the command touch. She gets along well with our other dog and likes people. Like most dogs from a commercial breeder patience is key! I think Kirra will make a great pup.

3/16/25-After 2 months in her new home Kirra is back looking for a different home. Her last home said she is very sweet but too high energy for them & their more mellow dog. They also said she is so smart, food motivated and learns easily. Updates soon from her new foster home.

1/18/25-Kirra was adopted!
