Kira (Courtesy Post)'s Story
Meet Kira, the ultimate snuggle buddy with a heart full of love!

At around 3 years old, Kira's favorite things in life are simple: snuggles, cuddles, curling up in your lap, and enjoying a good chew toy. If you're looking for a loyal companion who wants nothing more than to be close to her people, Kira is your girl.

Kira has overcome more than most dogs ever should. After being abandoned and losing a leg, she could have given up. Instead, she's become even more devoted to humans. Her resilience is inspiring, and her sweet nature shines through in everything she does.

This smart girl is perfectly house trained and learns quickly, often following directions the very first time. She's an ideal house dog: calm, affectionate, and easy to live with. Kira doesn't need long walks to be happy. She handles stairs with ease, hops up beside you when invited, and happily trots into her crate at the sight of a treat - no words needed.

Kira is a trim and fit 35 pounds. She's spayed, up to date on vaccines, and current on flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives.

And she's beautiful, too. Kira's warm brown eyes, adorable brown eye patch, white eyelashes, and perfectly flip-tipped ears make her impossible not to fall in love with.

Kira's ideal home is a calm, adults-only household where she can be the one and only pet. She enjoys lounging in the sunshine in a fenced yard, though one isn't required. Short walks are just fine, and she takes care of her business quickly before heading back inside for cuddle time.

Because Kira prefers people over other dogs, she isn't the type of dog who will enjoy breweries, crowded trails, or dog-filled outings. She has, however, done very well at a boarding facility when accommodated as a "single", soaking up plenty of one-on-one human attention and affection.

What Kira truly wants is simple: a peaceful home, a soft place to rest, and someone to love with her whole heart.

She's waiting to press her head against your chest, let out a deep contented sigh, and finally know she's home.

NOTE: This is a courtesy post.
