My name is Kira and here's more about me:<br/><br/>PHYSICAL INFO:<br/><br/>• Breed: Terrier Mix<br/>• Age: Approx 5 years old<br/>• Gender: Female <br/>• Weight: 29 lbs (13.5 kg)<br/>• Current Location: Guadalajara, Mexico<br/><br/>RESCUE STORY - When I was first rescued I was only a puppy, found on an empty lot. I have since been adopted three different times! I can't believe it too, but each of my families had very good reasons and they only wanted what was best for me. My first family returned me to my rescuer because they had to move and couldn't have a dog. The second family returned me only after six days because a family member did not agree with having a doggo. The third family returned me after they had their first baby, felt quite overwhelmed and couldn't care for me. Most importantly, I was never returned because of anything that I did. All of my families loved me and said I was the best behaved girl. I'm still here hoping for my happy ending with a furever family. <br/><br/>TEMPERAMENT - I'm an energetic gal! I love to play and especially love getting all the pets and cuddles. My rescuer says I'm naturally obedient and usually follow instructions simply when hearing my name called. I approach hoomans asking for affection and will give it right back to ya. I usually approach new people and am interested and sweet. My top three things that make me happy are going for walks (I get so excited when I see my leash!), receiving affection, and playing with my doggie pals. Overall I'm a loving gal who is well-behaved and obedient.<br/><br/>ENERGY LEVEL – Moderate<br/><br/>GETS ALONG WITH:<br/><br/>• Kids – Very good! I would do great in a home with children. <br/>• Dogs – Yes, I get along with other dogs. Here I am with my pals at the shelter. <br/>• Cats – Not good with cats. I'll need a cat free home. <br/><br/>PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I'm not too sure how I'll react around squirrels/rabbits etc., so my adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise.<br/><br/>TRAINING:<br/><br/>• Leash skills – I LOVE WALKS. I will need help and consistency when I arrive at my new home. <br/>• House trained – Work in progress. Frequent potty breaks and positive reinforcement will help me learn housetraining in my new home :)<br/><br/>Please Note: WCP highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives. <br/><br/>HEALTH NOTES:<br/><br/><br/> I am spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. I will come to Canada with proof of all my vaccines and test records.<br/> NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits.
