"Kira" is a young Doberman in Deland who has a skin autoimmune condition that is controlled by daily medication. We have been helping her and her young owner, who unfortunately has a life-threatening condition and loves her dog very much, so we kept them together as long as possible. But now her owner is declining, so we need to either get Kira into a foster home near Deland or bring her down to Fort Lauderdale. She has lived with a male Shih Tzu and takes a moment to warm up to strangers. If you can help, please contact us. Donations towards her care are appreciated.Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral).
