Meet Kira 💕<br/>This sweet little island girl was born on the streets of Puerto Rico alongside her sister and mama before a kind couple rescued them and brought them to safety. Since arriving at our center, Kira has been showered with love, care, and all the vetting she needed. Her mama has already found her forever home — and now it’s Kira’s turn to find hers!<br/>Kira is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccines, absolutely adores people, and is wonderful with other dogs. Island Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy
After completing our brief online application we will talk with you to learn more about you, your lifestyle and your ideal pet so that we can match you with the perfect dog or cat. We may request a virtual tour of your home or, in some cases, an in person tour. Meet and greets are done with the foster at a location agreed upon. After a successful meet and greet, you can choose to start a trial adoption that will last up to 5 days. After the trial adoption we will either finalize the adoption or return the animal to our foster program. We have a trainer and behavorist that are part of our volunteer team should they be needed to successfully transition your new pet into your home.
