Kinzie's Story

Meet Kinzie! <br/><br/>This tall, gentle lady came to us very shy and shut down, but she's slowly learning that people can be pretty cool. She is a bit fearful of new faces, but once you're friends, she thinks she can pull off being a lap dog and may try and climb onto your chair! At heart Kinzie is an outdoor girl, who loves to get her morning jog in and take in the sunshine. She also has a very developed palate and is a treat connoisseur. Not just any treat will do for her —she holds out for the good stuff! In her free time she loves using her nose. Sniffing new smells and new people is one of her favorite hobbies. While it may take her a bit to warm up and relax, Kinzie is a sweet dog looking for a new best friend to show her life doesn't have to be so scary.<br/><br/>Kinzie has potential with dogs, cats, and kids 12+ due to her size and nervousness. Please stop by and meet Kinzie today!

Current Hours of Operation Sunday & Monday: CLOSED Tuesday: APPOINTMENT ONLY Open to Public: Wednesday - Friday: 11am – 5pm Saturday: 11am – 4pm Our website is best to view our most updated information on available pets. www.cherrylandhumane.org Important info to help you on your journey: - Applications must be submitted prior to adoption and will take 24-48 hours to process and approve. - We do not perform same day adoptions. - CHS accepts multiple applications on each animal, we are not first come first serve. Our team of adoption counselors will help matchmake every individual pet and family to ensure the best fit for all. - Must be 21 to adopt with a valid driver's license or state ID card. - We ask all members of the household to meet the new pet, some pets require multiple visits to build necessary relationships. - To align with our mission of solving the homeless pet crisis, all household pets must be spayed and neutered, up to date on necessary vaccinations, and live in the same household as the adopter. If not currently established with a veterinarian, a vet deposit will be required. - Cats and dogs adopted from CHS are indoor only. - Every pet is an individual, and many have individual needs such as : post adoption training (included with adoption), multiple meet and greets to feel comfortable, medical needs, etc. Our adoption counselors will communicate these needs with all interested families. CHS will not begin adoption process with an individual when: - A person is reasonably believed to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. - Landlord or residence does not allow pets, or the living situation does not accommodate consistency for the pet (e.g. student housing, four unrelated adults living together, ect.) - Applications may be denied for any reason, including but not limited to an individual failing to comply with conditions of past adoption.
