Kingsley's Story

Meet Kingsley!

He is a very handsome 2 year old Rottweiler who is looking for a home and family that will commit to him for life! Sadly, his owner had health issues and was no longer able to care for him, so he was surrendered to the pound. You can imagine that his life has been turned upside down. He’s not sure who to count on or where he’s supposed to call his home and his people.

He bonds very quickly to his humans and hasn’t met a stranger yet! With proper introductions, he does well with neutral, non reactive dogs. A meet and greet with your dog would be required.

What we want most for this special guy, is for him to find a person/family who has the time he will need to adjust to a new routine and feel safe. He does have some anxiety when left alone but we expect that to improve or resolve once he’s settled.

Kingsley cannot be crated or confined but he can be left free in the home and is not destructive. He bonds so quickly to his people and that’s exactly what will make taking a chance on this big boy so rewarding. He is active and playful but also enjoys being a couch potato with his favorite human. You get the best of both worlds!

Breed knowledge is a must! We do require a fence as he will need ample space to get exercise safely. He’s 110 lb and very strong on leash. He’s super intelligent and learns quickly so we feel he would be a great candidate for a variety of training classes. Kingsley is house trained.

The adoption donation for Kingsley is $200.

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines and on flea/tick/heartworm prevention (age appropriate).

If you would like to meet this dog, you must have an approved application on file and be willing to travel to the Columbiana, Ohio area for a meet and greet. All of our dogs reside in foster homes. We do not have a physical shelter.

Applications will be reviewed/approved and each dog will be placed in the home that can best meet their individual need. A successful adoption is our goal. Submitting an application does not guarantee adoption of any dog.

We require you call your established veterinarian asap to schedule a wellness visit.

—————————-

Our applications can be found at https://www.apaprescue.com

We recommend using a computer, laptop or tablet to fill out the application. Questions do not always show up in full on a phone. Leaving a field empty will result in the application not processing. If you get a grey screen, scroll down to see which field you left blank. Follow the prompt to continue.

—————
**IMPORTANT **

Please note that when you use the “start an inquiry/introduce yourself” feature it is NOT an application to adopt.
