King

King is approximately 6 months old and 30 lbs. This is a very loving and very smart little guy. Within a week he is almost completely house broken, will sit on command, walks well on the leash, knows his name and will come when called, will wait in a sit position for his bowl, crate trained, and just one affectionate puppy. <br/><br/>There are just those dogs that we (as fosters) become immediately attached to because of the gratitude the dogs shows us - and he is one of them. He is an active puppy but will settle down after being exercised and pay with his toys. King exhibits traits of the Carolina dog like gathering all of his toys in one area right beside you - like bringing you a gift. A great family for King would be one that is active, will take him several daily walks, throw toys for him to retrieve and generally be his pack.<br/><br/>He is in his foster home with two small dogs - one of which is an Alpha female - and he will immediately obey and belly down for her. No great prey drive so anticipate he will be good with children - but he is a big rough puppy - so smaller children are not advised unsupervised. He will need a yard so apartment living will not be ideal. And since he is still a puppy - the best environment would be someone home most of the day or that can provide a day care opportunity for him (he can't hold it all day...)
