Born in Puerto Rico, Kimmy experienced more hardship in her first few months of life than any puppy ever should.<br/><br/>She was discovered abandoned in a remote mountainous area of Puerto Rico, left completely alone with only a sweater on her tiny body. Frightened, confused, and traumatized, Kimmy was so terrified that she wouldn't allow anyone to come near her for more than a week. Day after day, rescuers tried to help, but fear kept her at a distance. Eventually, exhaustion and hunger overcame her fear, and she finally allowed herself to be rescued.<br/><br/>That moment changed everything.<br/><br/>Once Kimmy realized she was safe, her true personality began to shine. The scared little puppy who hid from the world blossomed into a joyful, affectionate, and loving companion. In foster care, she has discovered all the wonderful things puppyhood should be about: toys, playtime, belly rubs, and being part of a family.<br/><br/>Kimmy absolutely loves playing with her toys and romping around with other dogs. She can be a little nervous when meeting new canine friends at first, but with a little patience and reassurance, she quickly warms up and joins in the fun. She thrives in the company of other dogs and would love a canine companion to play with.<br/><br/>Most of all, Kimmy is incredibly loyal. Once she trusts you, she forms a deep bond and wants nothing more than to be by your side.
