Kimberly's Story

Small Steps & Big Heart: Meet Kimberly!
Kimberly is a young pup who is just beginning to learn that the outside world is a big, beautiful place. Since arriving at the shelter in February, she has spent much of her young life in the kennel. Because of this, she is a little timid and is still getting used to all the new "noises and surprises" that come with life outside the shelter.

She recently had a "Big Day Out" at Bear Creek Park with one of her favorite volunteers. While the big world was a lot to take in, Kimberly showed us her brave side! She even made some new best friends when she let two little girls shower her with love and pets at the park.

Once Kimberly feels comfortable and safe, her true personality shines through. She is the definition of a "people dog" who absolutely lives for belly rubs, pup cups, and the occasional snack. She is treat-motivated and eager to learn, making her a wonderful candidate for a family who wants to watch a young pup grow and blossom. Kimberly seems interested in other dogs and might love a home where she can play with another canine companion! If you have a pup at home, a meet-and-greet is recommended to see if they’ll be the best of friends.

Ready to be Kimberly’s guide? She has so much love to give and just needs a little time and trust to truly come out of her shell. She is so ready to shine and show you what a wonderful pup she is!
