Kim Possible's Story

Meet Kim Possible!

Kim Possible arrived with our second group of Ridglan Lab Beagle survivors. She is a gentle, sweet girl who is just beginning to discover what life outside of a breeding facility has to offer.

Kim is still very nervous and should be considered a flight risk. Because of this, adopters will need to be committed to taking appropriate safety precautions while she settles into her new home. We will discuss these considerations during the adoption process and provide resources to help set both Kim and her new family up for success.

Like all former research beagles, Kim will need patience, time, and plenty of decompression. She is learning that the world can be a safe and wonderful place. Positive reinforcement, slow introductions to new experiences, and allowing her to build confidence at her own pace will help her continue to blossom.

According to her Ridglan records, Kim is approximately 2 and a half years old. We prefer that she be adopted into a home with beagle experience, or ideally experience with former research/laboratory beagles, so her family understands her unique needs.

If you think you could provide Kim with the loving, patient home she deserves, please apply on our website at luckydogrefuge.com. Once we receive your application, we will reach out to schedule a meet-and-greet at our rescue in Stamford, CT.

Lucky Dog Refuge's Adoption Policy
Generally, puppies and adult dogs have an adoption fee of $600; senior dogs have an adoption fee of $350. However some dogs may have a higher adoption fees based on the extent of their training or other factors. We also may have "legacy dogs" whose higher fee help offset the medical costs of some of our emergency cases. Fees are set at the discretion of the rescue. The adoption fees covers only a portion of the expense the rescue spends on the medical care, housing, and transport of each rescue dog; the rest is covered through fundraising efforts. - The first step towards adoption is to complete an adoption application, which can be found online at our website www.LuckyDogRefuge.com, under the “Apply Now” tab or at https://forms.gle/LXKMKSnagxLSad668. - Do NOT use the Petfinder links or email to ask us about our adoptable dog listings - we do not always receive these messages and will not respond to them.
