Kiitos's Story

Meet Kiitos! This fluffy 8-year-old, 97-pound boy made the journey from Texas to Utah after devastating flooding put tremendous pressure on shelters throughout the region. Now safe with Arctic Rescue, he’s embracing the good life 💛
This mellow snuggle bug loves curling up beside his people and being loved on. He enjoys a good brushing, plenty of cuddles, and a comfortable spot to supervise absolutely nothing.
Kiitos also loves to sing the songs of his ancestors. He happily joins his foster’s Husky chorus and will offer a little grumble if you ask him to move so you can make the bed, or if he suspects you have a snack you aren’t sharing.
He’s been doing great with the two Huskies in his foster home and is comfortable with their teenagers. He’s also potty trained, though rainy weather may require a little extra encouragement to head outside.
Kiitos enjoys walks but prefers them short and leisurely. He doesn’t pull much, and his foster is helping him polish his leash manners. He’s also working toward a healthier weight with sensible portions, regular walks, and plenty of encouragement.
Kiitos is looking for a family who appreciates the finer things in life: a comfy couch, close cuddles, short strolls, and the occasional Husky serenade.
Apply to adopt Kiitos through Arctic Rescue at arcticrescue.org/adopt.

Please note: All Arctic Rescue dogs are marked “Needs Experienced Adopter.” Northern breeds like me often have higher exercise, training, and care needs. If you’re new to Huskies or similar breeds, we highly recommend doing a bit of research before applying.

Arctic Rescue's Adoption Policy
HOW OUR ADOPTIONS WORK: 1) We require all adopters to fill out an online application at: https://www.arcticrescue.com/adopt 2) We are a Utah-based rescue. All potential adopters must come to Utah and meet the dogs. We do not transport dogs. 3) We want to make sure that your home is the perfect fit for one of our dogs and vice versa. We want all members of the family to be happy and well matched with each-other, so require families to do a phone interview, reference checks, meet dogs and pass a home-inspection before adoption.
