Kevin German Shepherd Dog & Weimaraner Mix Bolivar, MO

My name is Kevin! I'm a 3 year old German Shepherd/Weimeriner mix (I have 10 other breeds too, check out the DNA results in my photos!). I came to the shelter as a stray and unfortunetly, have been at the shelter since and that was over a year ago...I'm really a good boy I just got a bad start in life. I'm going to be blunt- I don't like other dogs and wouldn't do good in a home with cats, but I can make up that extra want for another animal with my love. I have tons of it to give, so no need to have any other pets with me around :) I love belly rubs, going for car rides, and playing in the water.

I do good on a leash, but better in a harness. I love to go for car rides and I am a gentlemen when it comes to it. I love the water, so bath time is no issue to me. I do good in a kennel so potty-training is easy for me. I really just need that special someone that is willing to give me the time and patience to love me and train me.

Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come.

Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and Minneapolis, MN areas at least monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual and we will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veteinarian ($35). Going that last mile home for our sweet pets!
