Kermit #2 Yellow Labrador Retriever Mix Killingworth, CT

Kermit #2 is 1 year old and 62 lbs. He is a very sweet boy who had cauliflower ears when we got him. That means he has had an ear infection that was ignored and got infected. He is all cleared up and doing well now. Kermit will smile when you talk to him. He doesn't seem to know what to do except wiggle and shyly look up at you. Kermit is a good rider and enjoys being with his humans. He is sweet with other dogs too. He will need a home where someone can understand him and give him the experiences he has never had before. January 20, 2024 Update from Kermit's northeastern Foster Mom: "Kermit is learning his basic commands and quickly learned “sit”, “down”, “wait”, and “okay”, both verbally and with hand signals. (He expects a treat) He is crate trained but doesn’t need to be crated. Kermit has medium energy and loves his playtime but settles down nicely after exercise. He gets so excited when he sees the Harness Lead as he knows that he will be going for a walk or a playdate with his friends. Everyone he meets comments on how handsome he is. Kermit is not a barker but will announce someone at the door. He ignores the cats that live indoors and does not pay attention to the barn cats that he sees outside. He loves playing with other dogs and I promised him a forever home with at least one other playful dog."

ADOPTION FEES: $495 non-refundable adoption fee for all vet expenses (spay/neuter, shots, etc.) and transportation to ensure your lab gets to you in a safe, professional manner. All fees may be paid using PayPal, cashier's checks, or money orders. Labs4rescue does not accept personal checks for adoption fees. All adopters must pay their Labs4rescue adoption fee prior to the rescue shipping their dog.

Residents of Massachusetts or New Hampshire are required to pay an additional $125 fee, which defrays the cost of their state's mandatory 48 hour isolation and examination by a licensed veterinarian.
