A total Pam Pass favorite in our Doggie Day Out program, he absolutely lives for his downtown walks—taking in all the sights, smells, and (most importantly) any snack opportunities. Food is his love language, and he is very fluent in it.<br/><br/>One of his signature moves? If a walk route includes a crate, he may dramatically plop himself right down beside it as if to say, “You know what? I live here now.” It’s impossible not to laugh—he knows exactly how charming he’s being.<br/><br/>Kennebec Potato would do best with older kids and a patient home willing to let him settle in at his own pace. He tends to prefer women and appreciates people who understand that trust is earned, not rushed. Once he feels comfortable, you’ll get to enjoy his goofy humor, snack-driven enthusiasm, and classic husky stubborn streak.<br/><br/>If you’re looking for a dog with character, comedy, and the occasional sit-in protest, Kennebec Potato may just be your perfect match.<br/><br/>Since many of our adoptable dogs are in foster homes, appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt!<br/><br/>Our adoption fees include the following: all of our dogs/puppies are current on vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, heartworm tested and current on preventative, microchipped, treated for fleas/ticks and are spayed or neutered. Our large dog adoption fee is generally $175 + tax. Our small dog and puppy adoption fee is generally $300+ tax. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Due to space limitations, we do not hold dogs.<br/><br/>Because we are on a busy street, we require that all dogs leaving the shelter be in a carrier or on leash. All pets remain up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee paid.
