Kenda's Story

Kenda
French Bulldog
3 Years Old, 34lbs
Dogs, Cats, kids
Good with everyone & everything.

This adorable little lemon could is technically classified as special needs because his version of running includes flying with a cart!

However, this kid does not miss a beat! His uniquely made self doesn't impede on his ability to run, play, eat, walk, etc. In fact, he is completely unfazed and unaware that his legs are anything different from the others. This little man is the most adorable, the most sweet and the most hilarious little goofball we have, but he’s also very humble. Sure, he exudes that Frenchie confidence, but he’s a very sensitive and sweet boy. He’s the awesome everything dog.

He loves car rides, and he’s a very good boy on the road. He’s also a perfect gentleman at all of his veterinary appointments. The doctors and technicians rave about the ease in which they examine him, take blood, and all those other pesky things that dogs typically aren’t so crazy about. Kenda loves going on walks and enjoys meeting everyone along the way! He really loves doing anything outdoors. That being said, he’s quite the professional snuggler inside, and turns into a perfect couch potato by evenings for movie night.

We cannot stress enough how much Kenda loves life, the world and everything in it! He absolutely goes nuts for puppies. He adores puppies!! He would play all day with them if given the chance. He’s fantastic with adult dogs as well. We’ve introduced him to female dogs & male dogs of a variety of ages. He’s even good with cats. He is perfection in an imperfect world, and he's looking to be seen by his Forever humans.

Mission Compassion Paw Rescue's Adoption Policy
MCP is a Chicago foster based rescue. We focus on dogs who need extra advocacy, including: Pit bull-type dogs, senior animals, animals with medical or behavioral needs, and bonded pairs. We don’t view adoption as placing animals, we view it as welcoming new humans into our Pack. Because of this, our process is intentionally thoughtful and hands-on. Many approved applications ultimately result in us recommending a different dog with stronger match potential. This is part of our responsibility as advocates and something we are known and respected for. Our adoption process typically includes at least three meetings (often more) to ensure a strong, lasting match. These meetings allow time to build a relationship, communicate openly, and support a healthy transition. We are full disclosure, we know our animals well and are honest about their needs. We're hands-on from first meet-and-greet through decompression and beyond, and we are comfortable saying no at any point if the fit isn’t right. We look for organic connections and humans who understand that successful Forever relationships take time, patience, and commitment. Going slow matters to us, for our animals and for our humans. Important Adoption Expectations: All potential adopters are expected to meet their match at least three times with all household members participating in the process. Out-of-state adoptions may be considered for exceptional matches only. Multiple visits to the Chicagoland area are required. We do not ship animals. We do not allow: Gifting animals, surprise adoptions, or any adoptions without full household involvement. Adoption Fees: Dogs: $600 | Bonded pairs: $900 | Cats: $250, $325 for a pair We hold our animals and our humans close. Quality over quantity. Always.
