Mission Compassion Paw Rescue

MCP is a Chicago foster based rescue focused on dogs who need extra advocacy, including pit bull-type dogs, seniors, animals with special needs, and bonded pairs. We don’t view adoption as placing animals, we view it as welcoming new humans into our Pack. Because of this, our process is intentionally thoughtful and hands-on. Many approved applications ultimately result in us recommending a different dog with stronger match potential. This is part of our responsibility as advocates and something we are known and respected for. Our adoption process typically includes at least three meetings (often more) to ensure a strong, lasting match. We are hands-on from first meet-and-greet through decompression and beyond, and we are comfortable saying no at any point if the fit isn’t right. All household members must participate. Out-of-state adoption is considered only for exceptional matches and requires multiple visits to Chicagoland. We do not ship animals, allow gifting, or surprise adoptions
