Kelsey is a 4-year-old pit mix and a very, very good girl. She came from a rough home, but through it all she’s stayed sweet, gentle, and incredibly dog friendly.<br/><br/>Shelter life has been hard on her, and being back in a kennel has made her a little sad. What Kelsey really wants is a soft place to land, people to love, and a home where she can finally relax and feel safe.<br/><br/>She’s house trained, loves other dogs, and would be happy to have a canine friend. Kelsey enjoys getting out for walks and adventures—she’s a strong girl on leash, so she’ll do best with someone ready for a sturdy walking buddy (or someone with a fenced in yard).<br/><br/>More than anything, Kelsey deserves a fresh start. She has so much love to give and is ready to be someone’s loyal, loving best friend.

Tazewell County Animal Control's Adoption Policy
All adopters can come into the shelter from 8a-3:30p to fill out an application. With an approved application, adopters can request to see dogs/cats they're interested in. Adopters with dogs already in the home will have to bring them in for a meet and greet before the adoption is approved. Cat adoptions are $60 and dog adoptions are $80.
