KC came into Maine Sheltie Rescue with several other Shelties. She was overweight and extremely matted to the point that she needed to be shaved. Her fur has started to fill back in and should grow back to her full beautiful Sheltie coat. <br/><br/>KC has been on a diet and is losing weight. Her foster family has noticed she explores more in her fenced yard with less weight. KC is 9 years old and shy until she gets to know you. <br/><br/>KC gets along well with her foster family Shelties She is house trained and has a sweet calm temperament. KC would do best with minimal stairs. Her foster dad carries her up and down their stairs. She is able to do 2-3 stairs. <br/><br/>KC loves attention and is food motivated. We are unsure how she would do around children. <br/><br/>KC would do well with someone who is willing to work on her weight loss, and in a quiet home where she can get lots of love and attention. A Sheltie brother or sister to follow around would be wonderful for her, too!
