Kayla's Story

Meet Kayla! 🐾❤️

Kayla came from a large hoarding case, and because of that she can be very skittish when you first meet her. However, after she warms up, her personality really shines through! Kayla is incredibly smart and will be easily trained. Kayla is young and healthy and has lots of puppy like energy. She needs an active family or an active playmate to help expend her energy or you may see her more mischievous side.

Kayla is very playful and would thrive in a house with a playmate. Kayla would spend all day running around the yard as long as she has someone to run with. Because Kayla loves playing outside so much, a fenced in yard is a must for this girl!

She will empty the toy box daily trying to find the perfect toy to play with. She is a cuddle bug and you will find her on your lap anytime you sit down. And once she settles in for the night, she does enjoy sleeping on the human’s bed.

She is (mostly) house trained and she is crate trained. She will sometimes seek solace in her crate when feeling overwhelmed. If no crate, she will need a “safe” place she can go to, especially in the beginning.

She doesn’t mind cats, in fact, she is quite mesmerized by them, but doesn’t understand why they won’t play with her!

We also recently learned that Kayla absolutely loves playing in water outside. She would get the zoomies every time she got sprayed with the water gun!

If Kayla sounds like the perfect match for you, apply to adopt her today!
https://knoxvintagepetproject.com/adopt/

We have a written application all potential adopters must fill out. Once the application is complete, we call all vet references to make sure their current pets are well taken care of (up to date on vaccines and heartworm prevention, sterilized). If the adopter rents, we will call the landlord to make sure they are allowed to have pets and have no restrictions. We require a meet and greet with all of their current pets before adoption.
