Meet Kaye
Meet Kaye!
We call Kaye the "Pocket Husky". She is a whole lot of husky personality in a smaller, less furry package. She has lots of energy and loves being outdoors, especially in the snow. Kaye is in a foster home with kids ranging from teenager down to toddler, and she loves them all. She is definitely a cuddler and will get right in your space to snuggle!
Kaye is housebroken and mostly crate trained. She sleeps in the crate at night without complaint. She doesn't love being away from her pack, so takes her a bit to settle when left there during the day, but she will eventually. She is currently being fostered in a home with another dog, and loves to play, but might do best with a dog pal who can match her energy level and wont let her dominate them. An experienced husky/high energy dog home would be great for Kaye.
Kaye will need help learning to walk properly on a leash without pulling. She knows a few basic commands and would do great with some additional training. She has the sweetest, most loving and adventurous personality, and for someone who will help her learn a few manners, she will be the best dog pal you can ask for!Â
Puppies have special needs and require a home where there will be someone available to care for, socialize, and train them during the day. If your family is away from the home for several hours at a time, please consider adopting a teenager or adult dog.
Our standard adoption fees are as follows $400 for puppies up to 12 months, $300 for adults, and $200 for seniors 7yrs and up with cash or check. It includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative, heartworm preventative, free vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping.
We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please visit www.rescuedrascalsil.org for an application.
Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed.
