Just days ago, she was doing everything she could to protect her two puppies at a new home construction site—always on alert, unsure of the world around her, but never giving up on her babies.<br/><br/>While her puppies were safely rescued, Katniss was too scared to come close. So we called in a trapper to help... and just two hours after the trap was set, she walked right in—as if she knew her life was about to change.<br/><br/>Since then, everything has been new. A safe place to rest. A full belly. A trip to the vet. And finally, a foster home where she can begin to decompress. It’s a lot for a girl who’s likely never known kindness like this before, so she’s understandably scared right now.<br/><br/>But here’s the beautiful part... even through her fear, Katniss is showing us who she really is.<br/><br/>She has not a single aggressive bone in her body. She allowed gentle pets, leaned into the touch, and started to relax—just a little. Her sweetness is already shining through, and you can see how badly she wants to trust.<br/><br/>Give her a few days, a little patience, and a lot of love, and we know Katniss is going to blossom into an incredible, devoted companion.<br/><br/>She’s absolutely stunning, inside and out—and after everything she’s been through, she deserves nothing but the very best life has to offer.<br/><br/>From surviving... to finally being safe—Katniss’s story is just beginning. ✨
