Katniss's Story

Katniss was born on the streets of Mexico and was transferred to our rescue at 6 months old with an embedded collar and very thin. She has come such a long way but still takes a few minutes to warm up to strangers. She is very dog friendly with other dogs her size and bigger. Katniss loves to chase birds, cats, and lizards and will not be suitable for a home with small animals. She will do best in a home with kids 12 and up because of her initial fear with new people.

Arrows Landing Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
All animals in our care receive full veterinary treatment prior to adoption, including vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, microchipping, and medical clearance. Dogs also receive crate training, potty training support, and basic obedience foundations while in their foster homes. Animals who are too young or medically unable to be altered are placed in a foster-to-adopt arrangement. Their adoption is finalized once they are healthy and old enough for spay/neuter surgery. Our adoption fees are based solely on the animal’s age and never on breed.
