Katie Staffordshire Bull Terrier Mix Spencer, IN

This black beauty is Katie. She came to our shelter as a heartworm positive stray. We know that bully breeds have a hard time getting adopted, as do black dogs. Seems as though the odds have been stacked up against her. We’re hoping that Katie’s luck is about to turn around.

This girl has been treated and is now heartworm free, she’s ready to find her forever home. Katie is very sweet and a 2yr. old, 40lb athletic girl, who loves to run. She tends to pull on the leash a bit, daily exercise and some training will help to improve this. Katie is a good car rider, who’s always ready to hop in and set out on an adventure. She doesn’t seem overly reactive to other dogs at the shelter, but a meet and greet will be required with any potential fur siblings. Katie can be an escape artist at times, any potential adopter must be mindful of open doors, gates, windows, etc. Coming in as a stray, it is unknown how she is with cats. We’re hoping this girl’s luck is about to turn around and the odds will be in her favor. We hope Katie finds her forever home.
