In fact, Kate Winter would love to smother you in kisses because that's part of her sweet, affectionate nature. This goofy little merle girl has a bright, outgoing personality and a wonderfully gentle nature. She’s the kind of pup that happily trots over for attention, melts into cuddles, and then bounces right back into playgroup. Kate is fully integrated into her foster home’s routine, enjoying playtime in the yard, relaxation time in the crate, and snuggling with her people. She’s goofy but mild-mannered, loves being part of the action but delights in warm laps too. She responds well to corrections, and is already making progress in housetraining (early stages, of course). Kate is a perfect little house guest with a warm, people‑oriented spirit.

The Winter litter — Stevie, Kate, and Sigourney — were born in early January and have been raised in a loving foster home where they’ve been exposed to adults, children of all ages, and a variety of dogs. They are well‑socialized, confident, and adaptable puppies who enjoy playtime, cuddles, and exploring their environment. Their foster home is quiet, with few visitors and minimal outside traffic, giving them a calm, predictable foundation. As young pups, they will need adopters ready to guide them through all the basics — housetraining, crate time, leash walking, and manners — but they have the temperament, resilience, and social skills to thrive with patient, loving families.

Kate's ready for a forever home where she can love a new family and show what a devoted companion she can be.

An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this.

To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website:

Adoption Application - SOS Animal Rescue League in Rhode Island (sosarl.org)

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
