Sometimes rescue begins with heartbreak... but every superhero deserves an origin story.<br/>This sweet girl was abandoned when a witness watched a car stop in the middle of the street, open its door, and dump Kara and another dog before driving away.<br/>Thankfully, a wonderful human stepped in before either dog could be hit by traffic.<br/>The Good Samaritan rushed both dogs to be scanned for microchips. The other dog was chipped, and thanks to the efforts of a local municipal shelter, the chip was traced back to a rescue in Texas. They quickly made arrangements to bring him back into their program.<br/>But Kara had no chip.<br/>No owner.<br/>No rescue waiting for her.<br/>No place to go.<br/>So when I got the call, the answer was easy.<br/>That day, she became a Fairy Dogmother Rescue dog.<br/>We've given her a new name—Kara, after Supergirl—because every hero deserves a second chance, and this girl has already proven she's stronger than the circumstances that tried to break her.<br/>Despite everything she has been through, Kara has shown us nothing but sweetness. She is gentle, loving, and eager to soak up every bit of kindness she receives.<br/>Kara has now been fully vetted by Dr. Skube and the incredible team at Crestwood Animal Hospital and is settling into rescue life beautifully. She is learning leash skills, loves riding in the car, and has never met a stranger. Everywhere she goes, she makes new friends.<br/>She is the perfect medium-sized dog—not too big and not too small—and she has the most adorable smile that lights up her entire face. Kara is affectionate, happy, and ready to be someone's constant companion.<br/>If you're looking for a loyal sidekick, a co-pilot for errands, a passenger princess for car rides, and a best friend to share life with, Kara is ready to fill that role.<br/>For now, Kara is safe.<br/>She is loved.<br/>She has a full belly, a soft place to sleep, and people who care about her.<br/>Most importantly, she will never be thrown away again.<br/>Welcome to Fairy Dogmother Rescue, Kara.
