Kanga Jindo Gardnerville, NV

Kanga came to Nevada for foster care in early 2021, so she has been with our rescue 2+ years.
She came from the Apple Valley Shelter in CA with two other Jindo mixes believed to be her puppies (approx.. 6 months old-they have since been adopted out).
30 days after arrival and before her spay she gave birth to 3 new puppies, that also have been adopted out. (We naturally did not know she was pregnant, nor did the shelter).
We believe Kanga is 3-5 years old, and in the 40lbs range.
She is very shy and loves to work on escaping her leash, halters and collars-but we have come to understand that desire and she has learned to walk on a leash pretty well, but can still be scared.
One important thing is that no matter how fearful she gets she has never tried to bite: not her foster family, or the vet, or any volunteers.
Kanga would do best in a home that is willing to continue to work with her.
We have had volunteers that she slowly leans to trust and she progresses really well.
She uses a dog door at her foster home and is clearly potty trained. A home with a small yard would be a plus.
She does not seem bothered by kids, other dogs or even our barn cats. With a slow intro to other dogs, she is good to go, but as always, we recommend caution and patience when conducting ANY dog to dog intro, regardless of breed. With many years around these types of personalities we feel confident that once she is in a home and is given a few months to settle-a lightbulb will go off and she will be a loyal and loving companion.
