Meet Kane
Meet Kane! Kane has had quite the ride for the first 7 months of his life. He was adopted as a baby through another rescue and "returned" because of a heart defect found by a Veterinarian. That rescue contacted us because they knew we had a recent history of helping babies like Kane. He was transported to Texas and we immediately took him to a cardiologist where Kane was diagnosed with severe pulmonic stenosis. The severity level was a big surprise because Kane was such a happy puppy and didn't act sick at all!! Fast-forward a few months and he finally qualified for heart surgery at Texas A&M where he had a very successful balloon valvuloplasty!!! He has been cleared for adoption and is doing amazingly well! His doctor has cleared him for normal play and expects him to have a fully normal healthy life!
Kane has been an amazing foster baby. He has 2 chihuahua foster sisters and one Doberman foster sister. He has shown them all much love by being kind and gentle to them. He has a blast with his bigger foster sister as they love to play tug a war and wrestle each other. He loves to play but is also THE BEST at being a snuggler. He loves hugs and will give some kisses but not cover you in licks. He is gentle with kids and loves his humans too.
He is not a big barker but will alert you if he hears something strange. He uses a doggie door, is crate trained and at times when he is tired he will go lay in there on his own.
He loves his toys and loves to pull them out of his toy box. The sweet face you see if exactly what he is, just a sweet sweet boy. If you are looking for a calm well behaved dog who might steal your blanket then Kane is the one for you!
