Kali Pit Bull Terrier & Boxer Mix Lake Wylie, SC

Kali is 3 years old, 37 lbs.
She loves people, , kids of all ages, and cats! she is a WONDERFUL girl.
unfortunately her deadbeat owner moved and left her behind. her grandmother was trying to rehome her because she is overwhelmed and unable to afford to take care of her.
she went to an adopter in MA but is not doing well with her dogs for some reason. So she would probably be best as an only dog. but she will give you TONS of love. she just wants to be loved and feel safe.

She is a very very smart girl, and would be an ideal dog for further training in agility, nose work, etc.
She is even bright enough to catch on to those floor buttons that allow dogs to communicate verbally.
A dog genius.
She would be ideal for an experienced owner or professional trainer interested in working with her. The only time she is really happy is when you are taking her through her commands and/or playing fetch.
She knows SIT, DOWN, FETCH, DROP, PAW (right and left).
She has not been trained to HEEL, however. We are working on it. She responds to a gentle collar collection by turning an trying to bite the leash.
She is VERY food motivated.
She shows no signs of resource guarding with humans for food or toys. Unable to know about other dogs.
She is crate and house clean. She barks a bit when initially crated, but then settles.
She is NOT a fan of the chilly weather, and gets empty at turbo speed.
She also does not like her fleece lined coat, and tries to rub it off.
She likes her leather stuffed bear, a squeaking squirrel toy from Eddie Bauer, a Kong toy, and a beef flavor Nylabone.
Our vet and vet behaviorist recommended a one dog adult home with no children based on her behavior at the vet during a routine exam. Add to her skill set: she will balance on her back paws and twirl in a circle.
