He's guaranteed to make you laugh every single day. <br/><br/>Kai Alex currently lives with two young children and absolutely enjoys all the attention they give him—even if he occasionally tries to "help" by stealing a snack from them when no one is looking! When he's not playing, you'll find Kai Alex chewing on a favorite bone, chasing tennis balls, tossing his toys high into the air so he can catch them himself, zooming around the yard for no apparent reason, or indulging in his greatest obsession... water. Kai Alex absolutely loves drinking water and sometimes needs a gentle reminder that he doesn't have to finish the entire bowl in one sitting! <br/><br/>Kai Alex is both crate trained and house trained. He happily goes into his crate on command. The only exception is if he's managed to drink what seems like a gallon of water right before crating—then an occasional accident isn't out of the question! <br/><br/>Although Kai Alex had a difficult start in life, you would never know it from his happy, loving spirit. When he arrived at the rescue, he was nearly 25 pounds underweight and recovering from untreated medical issues. Thanks to proper veterinary care, good nutrition, and lots of love, Kai Alex has made an incredible recovery and is now a healthy, thriving young dog. <br/><br/>Kai Alex loves dogs of all sizes and has shown no signs of resource guarding. He can be a little cautious when meeting new men and may need a few days to build trust, but once he trusts you, he's a loyal and devoted companion. Could that family be yours?<br/><br/>Medical Note: When Kai Alex first came into our rescue, he had a few episodes at the veterinary office during which he briefly passed out. The exact cause was never determined, and he recovered each time quickly without any lasting effects. To ensure his safety, we followed our veterinarian's recommendations and completed the appropriate evaluations. <br/><br/>Kai Alex has since been given the all-clear by our veterinarian to be neutered and, most importantly, the all-clear to be adopted into a loving home. While these episodes have not recurred, we believe in being completely transparent with our adopters, so we want you to be aware of his history.
