Justice's Story

I have said it before, and I’ll say it again... Huskies do not belong on chains.<br/><br/>Imagine being born with a free spirit, only to spend your life tethered and confined. Eventually, that spirit doesn’t just get restrained—it gets broken.<br/><br/>This sweet mama knows that heartbreak all too well.<br/><br/>She originally had six puppies. Her so-called owner was selling them for just $15 each on Facebook. When they didn’t sell, four innocent babies were dumped by the river in a different county.<br/><br/>Thankfully, before anything happened to them, this beautiful girl and her two remaining puppies were discovered and brought to safety.<br/><br/>We are incredibly grateful to our rescue partners at Humane Society of Forsyth County for stepping up and taking the two babies, as we currently do not have puppy fosters available.<br/><br/>As for mama, she’s coming to ReLeashed Rescue.<br/><br/>Right now, her eyes tell the story of a dog whose spirit has been dimmed, but we are determined to help her find herself again. We want to show her that humans can be kind, that she is worthy of love, and that life can be more than the end of a chain.<br/><br/>Our goal is simple: to give her the best chance possible to rediscover the joyful, free-spirited husky she was always meant to be.<br/><br/>Please keep this sweet girl in your thoughts as she begins her journey to healing. Releashed Rescue's Adoption Policy
Our adoption process:  you can meet the dog first or complete your application which we review. If you have had previous pets (like a cat or other dogs) we do a vet check to ensure they are up to date on shots etc.and we check 2-3 references.  Then the last step is a home visit to basically ensure there are no obvious dangers for the dog in the home. The adoption fee is $100 and covers shots, microchip, spay/neuter.  www.releashedrescue.com
